"If you keep gazing at me like that, I won't be able to stop."
Utako is the heiress of the Mikoshiba Inn, a traditional Japanese inn with a long history. Past experiences in love have led to her having a phobia of men, so she's constantly making mistakes in front of male guests. She knows that she needs to do better as she'll eventually take over for her mother, but she's unable to overcome her phobia.
Then one day, she heads to a guest room-and finds Ritsu, a longtime regular and the author she admires...
"I'm not afraid at all... even though Ritsu-sensei is a man too..."
When Utako reveals that Ritsu is the only man she feels at ease with, Ritsu-stuck on his latest novel-suggests they use physical contact as a way to research romance for his new novel while helping her overcome her fear of men.
