After years of crushing taxes and rampant corruption among the nobility, the people rise up in revolution—and Arthur Pendragon, the second prince of Britain, is sent straight to the guillotine. But when Arthur opens his eyes, he finds himself five years in the past! Desperate to avoid the execution awaiting him, Arthur racks his brain for a way to change his fate. Then, after casually showing a little kindness to a maid, a mysterious voice echoes inside his head:
“Good Deed Points have been awarded. The future has shifted slightly.”
Realizing that this mysterious voice may be his only hope for survival, Arthur resolves to start treating everyone with kindness. Not because he has suddenly become a better person, of course—but because he desperately wants to stay alive! And so begins the do-over of a cowardly, petty, slightly overconfident, and utterly hopeless prince. To save his own neck, he’ll do everything he can to win over the people—and even the entire world! His only goal is survival—so how does everyone mistake him for history’s wisest king?!
